Snowshoeing

PicturePhoto: Lee Halliday Photography
Though Vancouver gets short shrift when it comes to its winter rainy season, those “in the know” move to higher elevations where wet turns to white. The peaks of the North Shore Mountains are approximately 6 degrees Celsius cooler than the city, and this often means great snowshoeing. Active Vancouver highlights several of the most accessible beginner to intermediate trails on Mount Seymour, Cypress Mountain, and an unforgettable snowshoe on Paul Ridge outside of Squamish.
